According to PhonesReview.co, "In the tech world, no sooner has one device arrived than many of us are looking ahead to the next version of it, and usually we would anticipate new versions of iPads to release at least every year."
But there is bad news for Apple fans: The much-awaited iPad 3 and iPad Pro will not be making their debuts on the shelves this year.
According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo, as reported by the International Busienss Times, there will be only one iOS tablet to make an appearance this year, and that will be the iPad Air 2.
The company will concentrate on the form factor of the 9.7-inch iPad Air, the sixth generation tablet, as it arrives later in the year. Wondering why this is so, the fourth iPad was eclipsed by the first iPad Mini in 2012, and the original gained it stature with Apple's decision to overhaul the inner and outer make of the tablet.
Compared to its previous models, however, the iPad Air is slimmer and lighter, with the same size panel host and screen, but without thick bezels that previously surrounded the viewing window of the tablet.
Laying side by side with the iPhone 5S, the Air may be bigger in size, but is definitely thinner than the phone counterpart.
In a report by Phones Review, the Air may be upgraded to have an A8 processor with fingerprint scanner, as well as the release of a more developed 12.9 inch iPad screen.
There is also a possibility that the Touch ID feature which was packed in the iPhone 5S will be included in the iPad Air 2.
Other than that, the second iPad Air (or iPad 6) may also feature a Liquidmetal casing, sapphire glass cover and coating, wireless charging, and an iOS 8, which also happen to be the features for rumored iPhone 6.
