The Samsung camp is all pumped-up as the hype and excitement around Samsung's flagship event, Unpacked 5, continues to build.
The Unpacked 5 invite is packed (pun intended) with hints and clues, starting with the prominent number 5 on the title. All imply the unveiling of the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S5 during the event.
The event, set for the 24th of February during the first day of the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, promises to reveal the "next big thing" which most are guessing would be no less than the Samsung's fifth edition of the Galaxy.
To quote the invite posted in the Samsung Tomorrow website, "On March 2013, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S4, on September 2013, Galaxy Note 3 and Gear...At the Samsung Unpacked 2014 on Monday, February, 2014 what can you expect to see? Mark the date and come visit us to see the unpacking of The Next Big Thing..."
Based on BGR.com sources, the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S5 may very well outclass its archenemy the iPhone 6.
According to a report by Oled-display.net, "On January 27th 2014 they (KDB Daewoo Securities) revealed that Samsung is going to use an Amoled Display with a WQHD (2560×1440) 560ppi resolution for its new Galaxy S5. It seems certain that the Samsung Display will employ the AMOLED Diamond Pixel matrix. Other key facts about the Galaxy S5 are:
- Processor: 2.5 Ghz Snapdragon 805 (main) 2.0 Ghz Octa core Exynos6 (64-bit) with Android 4.4 KitKat.
- Internal RAM: 3GB.
- Storage: 32/64/128GB, 4G LTE Advanced, 3G, Wi-Fi. A 3.2 and 16 Megapixel camera with 3.200 mAh battery.
- Cover: All metal."
If there is any truth behind these expert forecasts and rumors, then the Samsung Galaxy S5 may give the Apple iPhone 6 a run for their money. Let's wait and see on February 24.
