Google's newest mobile operating system has finally registered among fellow Android platforms but is no match for the Jelly Bean.
According to Google's Android Developers, the new Android KitKat version 4.4 accounted for 1.1 percent of the total devices utilizing the Google mobile platform.

The 1.1 percentage point for the KitKat version of the Android platform is no match compared to the overall 54.5 percent representing the Android Jelly Bean brand.
The Android Jelly Bean codename is split into three versions known as 4.1.x, 4.2.x and 4.3. Android Jelly Bean 4.1.x represented the highest distribution market share with 37.4 percent behind Jelly Bean 4.2.x's 12.9 percent. Jelly Bean version 4.3 accounted for 4.2 percent of the distribution.
Android Gingerbread, versions 2.3.3 to 2.3.7, garnered 24.1 percent of the distribution share.
Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which covered versions 4.0.3 to 4.0.4, represented 18.6 percent of the distribution.
Finally, Froyo, known as version 2.2, accounted for 1.6 percent.
According to Google, the latest platform versions data was collected during a seven-day period ending on Dec. 2. Android versions with less than 0.1 percent distribution and older than Froyo were not shown or included.
