Following on the heels of three other major U.S. wireless carriers, AT&T has officially started pushing out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S4s on its network.

The update is rather large, weighing in at a hefty 719MB, so downloaders would do best to have their handsets plugged in or charged fully and tethered to a Wi-Fi connection. As with all over-the-air style rollouts, not every AT&T Galaxy S4 owner will get the upgrade immediately. Instead, the firmware is being pushed out in batches, but it should reach everyone soon enough.

AT&T Galaxy S4 owners can manually check for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software updates.

While a major Android update is always good news, there's not too much Android 4.3 Jelly Bean brings to the table for the average user, other than improved camera firmware and some new TouchWiz features, according to SamMobile. Users won't see any drastic changes, as most of the changes are under the hood in the form of performance and security tweaks. Android 4.3 does bring Bluetooth 4.0 LE support, however, meaning AT&T Galaxy S4s can finally enjoy full connectivity with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Samsung has also included its KNOX security suite, allowing users to manage data between their personal and professional lives with more security and privacy than before.

Carriers Verizon, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular have all already released the same update; T-Mobile is the only major U.S. carrier that still hasn't. T-Mobile should release the update around Nov. 18, according to a leaked Best Buy internal document.
