Nokia has released an updated Imaging SDK for Windows Phone 8 devices.
According to the Finnish company, the Nokia Imaging SDK grants the user access to a "powerful library of exciting image manipulating tools," which helps create apps for the smartphone's operating system.

Nokia noted the latest Imaging SDK was "designed from the ground up" with the intent to create software with a low memory footprint. As a result, the Nokia Imaging SDK allows you to edit high-resolution images.
Features in the Nokia Imaging SDK include partial JPEG decoding, an updated WinPRT library for Win RT conventions, more than 50 filters and effects, and using the camera as a source.
"The library comes packed with effects, filters, and enhancements for you to use; from the simple, such as auto-enhance, frame, and brightness to those with advanced capabilities such as adjusting RGB levels, hue, and saturation," noted Nokia. "New filters in 1.0 include Chromakey which enables 'green screen' magic, compositing images from background and cutoffs."
The Nokia Imaging SDK has been touted to be "easy to use" and the filters can be "chained" to establish precise effects the user may be looking for.
The latest Nokia Imaging SDK update is the first since August when the company released Nokia Imaging SDK 0.9.3, which was proven to be a popular edition with nearly 900 downloads.
