The update comes with iTunes version 11.1.3.
With the new iTunes, a fix has been added where the equalizer may not be functioning as expected. The iTunes fix also improves performance when switching views in larger iTunes libraries.
The update also has additional "minor bug fixes," which Apple did not elaborate.
As Latinos Post reported, Apple launched OS X Mavericks on Oct. 22, for free.
The new operating system made an immediate impact within its first 24 hours of launch. According to Chitika Insights, devices with the OS X Mavericks platform accounted for 5.5 percent of the North American Web traffic within 24 hours of its release. The adoption rate of the new Apple operating system easily topped predecessor OS X Mountain Lion, which amounted for 1.6 percent during the same period in 2012.
The quick rise of OS X Mavericks might have been the result of the software's price, which is free. Apple's previous operating system, OS X Mountain Lion, was price at $19.99 when it launched in 2012.
OS X Mavericks' features include iBooks, a maps app, a streamlined Calender, updated Safari, iCloud Keychain, multi-display support, and Finder Tab and Tags for improved organization.
"Mavericks is an incredible release, which introduces significant new apps and features, while also improving the performance and battery life of your Mac," said Apple's Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi, in a statement. "We want every Mac user to experience the latest features, the most advanced technologies, and the strongest security. We believe the best way to do this is to begin a new era of personal computing software where OS upgrades are free."
