As of Nov. 2, HSN priced the no-contract Windows Phone 8 smartphone by T-Mobile at $79.99.
HSN noted the original HSN price for the Lumia 521 was $99.95, despite the company previously selling the devices earlier in the week for $149.95.
The new price of $79.95 can be split courtesy of HSN's FlexPays plan. The FlexPays plan allows the consumer to purchase the Lumia 521 for two payments of $39.98.
HSN has also removed the free shipping offer. With the purchase of the Lumia 521, the consumer will have to pay $9.95 for shipping and handling.
The Lumia 521, on HSN, offers two color models for purchase - black and blue.
HSN is also offering a two-year Electronics Replacement Plan for an additional $13.95.
With the HSN purchase of the Lumia 521, the consumer will receive a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, AC adapter, DC car charger, USB cable, screen protector, a cloth, activation card, one-year limited warranty, and a T-Mobile SIM card.
The Lumia 521, which is 4G enabled, has a 4-inch touchscreen and 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording. When it comes to memory, the smartphone has 8GB of internal storage with 512MB of RAM. A microSD card slot is available for an additional 64GB of storage. The battery capacity for the Windows Phone 8 smartphone is 1,430mAh.
The latest prices come as the Lumia 521 was named the most popular Windows Phone device in the U.S. As Latinos Post reported, AdDuplex's latest figures showed the Lumia 521 as the most utilized overall Windows Phone smartphone and Windows Phone 8 device in the world as well, topping the Lumia 822 and Lumia 920, to name a few.
