The official Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Premium Suite upgrade with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is still a month away, but lucky owners of an AT&T Galaxy Note 2 will be happy to know that a new Android 4.3 build has leaked and is available for download.
The build comes to us via Design Gears, and is by no means official. Instead, it's a pre-release build, meaning it should only be flashed by someone with experience. All others are best off waiting for the official rollout.
According to website SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 build contains the following changes:
"- Galaxy Gear Support
- TRIM Support (Makes the device much faster)
- ANT+ Support
- Samsung KNOX Implementation (KNOX bootloader and dedicated application)
- Samsung Wallet comes pre-loaded
- Improved RAM management
- Improved Display colour reproduction (Display looks much sharper than before)
- Improved TouchWiz Launcher (Much less launcher redraws and less lag)
- New Samsung Keyboard
- New Samsung Browser (Full screen by default, new tab interface and more)
- New Reading Mode (Optimizes display for reading, used by only a few specific applications)
- New Camera firmware
- Minor UI tweaks (Contacts app, Flashlight Widget, dialog boxes etc)"
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is expected to receive the Premium Suite upgrade with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean at the end of November. For those in the United States, AT&T and Sprint scheduled to be first on Nov. 20, Verizon will follow Nov. 29, and T-Mobile will be last on Dec. 2, according to a recently leaked Best Buy internal document.
