It's been almost impossible to pin down thus far, but it looks like there might finally be a release date for the next big Samsung Galaxy S3 update in the United States. According to a leaked roadmap, the Galaxy S3 will begin receiving Android 4.3 Jelly Bean through major U.S. carriers in November.
Wireless carrier Sprint will be the first out of the gate with Android 4.3 hitting Galaxy S3s on its network as early as Nov. 6. AT&T will be next on Nov. 13, and T-Mobile will follow on Nov. 25 with the update for its LTE Galaxy S3. Not surprisingly, Verizon will be last, with its Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update starting to roll out Nov. 22.
The dates above are the result of a leaked Best Buy internal document that website Geek.com was able to get ahold of. Neither Best Buy nor Samsung have commented on the matter, so don't get too attached to those dates - Android software update rollouts tend to take their own time.
Samsung announced in early September that it was scrapping previous Android update plans and focusing on getting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out to its flagship devices, including older ones such as the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2. While the exact reasons for skipping Android 4.2.2 are unknown, it's speculated that it's because Android 4.3 is the only Android that contains Bluetooth 4.0 LE support, a requirement for full connectivity with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
