Bioshock Infinite is one of the best games of 2013, and developer Irrational Games is set to release part one of the two-part Buried at Sea DLC on Nov. 12. This DLC will be available for $14.99, though gamers who bought the season pass will receive the DLC for free, according to IGN, which spoke to the game's developers.

Buried at Sea transports Booker and Elizabeth from the flying city of Columbia to the underwater city of Rapture, the setting of the first two Bioshock games. The game is set on the night that Rapture went from a futuristic city to the dystopian wreck that players initially encountered in the first Bioshock game. Elizabeth is looking for a little girl, and enlists Booker's help in finding the girl within the confines of the city. It appears as though Booker is unaware of the events of the main game of Bioshock Infinite, which will make the story of Buried at Sea that much more interesting. Booker also is the father of the missing girl, adding a further wrinkle to the game's story. Users will play as Booker throughout part one of Buried at Sea, but part two will allow users to control Elizabeth for the first time in the game.

This DLC is the second DLC pack that will be released as part the season pass for Bioshock Infinite. The first was Clash in the Clouds, which allowed users to try out several new battle arenas, but did not give players any added story to follow. Buried at Sea will mark the first expansion to the Bioshock Infinite story since the game's initial release, and it will be interesting to see what sort of conclusion to the overall story will happen at the end of Buried at Sea.

Buried at Sea will add several new gameplay elements. In addition to the furthering of the story of the game, new weapons will be through DLC, as well as a new plasmid (called vigors in Bioshock Infinite) that is based on a fan-made mod of the game.

Buried at Sea has the chance attract further praise for Irrational Games and Bioshock Infinite, and should remind gamers why the game is considered one of the most important games of the past console generation.
