HTC One Max News: FCC Filing for Sprint, AT&T Uncovered Ahead of Release Date

The HTC One Max is rapidly approaching its expected release window for the United States, and new FCC filings reveal that the phablet will be available soon for two different service providers.

Early FCC filings indicated the HTC One Max would be coming to Sprint, and now a more recent leak shows that the device will also be heading to America attached to AT&T. These service providers, along with Verizon Wireless, were expected to carry the device, and these reports not only confirm this, but also show that users will be able to grab the HTC One Max very soon. However, no specific release dates have been provided. Sprint, AT&T and Verizon have all remained silent about when the device will be launched.

Another big question concerning the HTC One Max is the device's price, as part of a packaged deal with a subscription plan and as a unlocked phablet. In the United Kingdom the unlocked device is selling for a hefty £600, which is about $952 USD. The HTC One Max probably won't be that expensive, but it looks as though users will have quite a price to pay if they want their own copy of the phablet.

The One Max will have a fingerprint scanner that users can use for extra security and a massive display capable of Full HD resolution. Additional specs for the device include a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, as opposed to the newer Snapdragon 800 processor that many different smartphones and tablets use. It is rumored that the HTC One Max did not use the newer chipset because of the high demand for that specific processor. Instead, the HTC One Max is expected to have a 3300 mAh battery and run on Android 4.3 for its operating system.
