Google's Android platform saw no change in their smartphone operating system market share percentage, yet it did not knock them off first place in Germany.
According to the latest figures from Kantar Worldpanel, Android saw a 0.0 percentage change when comparing the three months ending in August 2013 to the same period last year.

Android maintained first place, however, with 78.7 percent of the mobile operating system market share.
It was close competition for second place between Apple's iOS and Microsoft's Windows Phone platforms. In the end, Apple edged out Microsoft.
iOS finished second with 9.5 percent of the smartphone operating system market share for the three months ending in August this year, although it did come with a 1.6 percent decline from the same period in 2012. Apple previously had double digits with 11.1 percent during the three-month period in 2012.
Windows Phone saw the highest percentage increase from the four main mobile platforms Kantar Worldpanel provided. Windows Phone maintained its third place position but saw a five percent increase from the three months ending in August 2012 to the same period in 2013. The Microsoft mobile platform ended August 2013 with 8.8 percent, up from 3.8 percent in 2012.
BlackBerry finished last again. BlackBerry went from 0.6 percent by the end of August 2012 to 0.5 percent by August 2013, which is a fall of 0.1 percent.
