Sony has already rolled out firmware 10.3.1.A.2.67 for a number of Xperia Z devices, and it looks like the Xperia Tablet Z is finally among them.
The minor update for the Xperia Tablet Z was released the week of Oct. 4 and seems to only be available though Sony's PC companion. It's not clear if the upgrade is rolling out over the air, and so far it looks like it's only for the LTE Xperia Tablet Z model SGP321.
The update is incredibly small and won't bring any major changes. According to Sony, 10.3.1.A.2.67 contains "display, camera, batter fixes, and performance tweaks." What that essentially translates to is: "the device should run better, although you may not see any eye-grabbing new features or apps." Users over at the XDA Developers forums report that the patch essentially improves interface fluidity, and that's about it. There's no change in Android versions, so the tablet still runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
There's no word on when the Wi-Fi Xperia Tablet Z will receive the update, although it shouldn't be far behind. More likely than not, Sony is just getting its ducks in a row for an over-the-air rollout.
Update 10.3.1.A.2.67 was already made available for the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, and Xperia ZR prior to the release on the Xperia Tablet Z.
A newer update for the Xperia Z series has also recently been spotted, indicating that the Xperia Tablet Z may get another firmware soon. Sony has not yet announced an official release date for the Xperia Tablet Z Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.
