It's not the update everyone's been waiting for, but Verizon is now pushing out a minor patch over the air for the HTC Droid DNA that does little but add TalkBack.

The update weighs in at 33MB and bumps up the Droid DNA's software version to 2.07.605.1 710RD. Users can grab it over the air, although it's important to remember that not everyone will receive it at the same time. One can manually download it by going to Settings > About Phone > System updates.

Verizon states that the only change is that the TalkBack feature has finally been added. According to Big Red, "This enhancement makes Internet accessibility easier for the visually impaired."

Droid DNAs will get a far more interesting update before the end of the year in the form of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and a new version of Sense. HTC America president Jason Mackenzie recently announced that the Droid DNA was scheduled to get both of the upgrades before 2013 is over. Android 4.2.2 will bring some enhancements, but it's the new Sense that should have Droid DNA users excited.

When HTC finally does update the Droid DNA, it will end up giving it Sense 5 or higher. What this means is that the Droid DNA will finally run the same user interface as the popular HTC One. Sense 5 comes with a variety of features designed to make content more easily accessible without having to delve into apps, including BlinkFeed and Video Highlights.
