It looks like HTC's recent aggressive Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update campaign for the One smartphone is finally hitting Stateside. Sprint has become the first major U.S. wireless carrier to release an Android 4.3 update for the HTC One.

HTC America president Jason Mackenzie recently took to Twitter to announce that Sprint started rolling out Android 4.3 for the HTC One Oct. 2.

The update should be a significant jump for Sprint HTC Ones, which have been running Android 4.1 up until now. Improvements include "launcher bar enhancements, a widget lock screen style, home button behavior modification (remove black menu bar from screen), advanced notifications, ability to display battery level percentage in the notification bar, quick settings, 6 new Video Highlights themes with custom music options, improved Zoe file management and more," according to HTC Source.

The update does not include Sense 5.5, which is expected to land on U.S. HTC Ones in a separate package sometime in the future. International HTC Ones should get Sense 5.5 with Android 4.3 sometime in late October or November.

As usual with over-the-air rollouts, not everybody will receive Android 4.3 at the same time. Instead, it will hit the airwaves in batches, meaning some will get it before others.

Mackenzie also revealed the release time frames for the HTC One Android 4.3 update on other carriers. AT&T and T-Mobile will apparently release the upgrade in mid-October, while Verizon should have it in consumers' hands by the end of October.
