HTC set an aggressive goal for itself when it announced it would try to have both U.S. and Canadian HTC Ones upgraded to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean before September ended. While HTC won't miss the deadline by much, it looks like there will be a slight delay in the rollout of the U.S. upgrade.
HTC president Jason Mackenzie took to Twitter recently to keep HTC customers up to date on the status of the upcoming HTC One Android 4.3 upgrades. Most of Mackenzie's tweets have been positive thus far, however, a message posted recently by the HTC executive reveals that the United States may not get Android 4.3 by the end of September.

"3 days left on 4.3 deadline for US/Canada HTC One. Unlocked out! Carrier skus coming, but will slightly miss 9/30," Mackenzie tweeted.
It is not clear whether some carriers in the United States and Canada will release Android 4.3 by the end of the September and others will simply lag, or if everybody will have to wait a few extra days or weeks. Either way, look for HTC to push for a sooner-rather-than-later release in order to beat rival Samsung to the punch of updating its flagship phone to Android 4.3.
The upgrade will be the same as the ones already released for HTC Ones in Taiwan and for HTC One Developer Editions. It will include Android 4.3, but not the latest version of Sense, Sense 5.5, which will arrive in a separate update later on. International HTC Ones can expect Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5 to begin rolling out in late October/November.
