A 22-year-old man grew a nose on his forehead after damaging his original nose in an accident last year.
A man from China literally had a nose job done in order to replace his damaged and infected original nose. Xiaolian, who was involved in a traffic accident August of last year, had no choice but to grow a new nose on his forehead. He allegedly was not able to seek medical help right after the accident. According to the doctors in Fuzhou, in the Fujian province of China, the original nose of the young man was irreparable due to cartilage corrosion.
The new nose was created by placing a skin tissue expander onto Xiaolian's forehead, reports the Daily Mail. Cartilage taken from Xiaolian's ribs served as support for his new nose. The newly formed nose, which doctors say is growing quite well, is to be transplanted to the position of the original nose.
