A new color model has been spotted for the second-generation iPad mini.
The French website NoWhereElse posted an image alleging to be the "space gray" model of the iPad mini 2. The addition of "space gray" comes as the color option was added for the iPhone 5s.

According to MacRumors, the images of the "space gray" iPad mini 2 comes as a "sketchy" report stated Apple would release the second-generation 7.9-inch tablet in the same color variants as the iPhone 5s.
"The report also claimed that the full-size iPad will be arriving in the same three colors seen on the iPhone 5s: space gray/black, gold/white, and silver/white," reported MacRumors' Eric Slivka. "Nearly all of the recent fifth-generation iPad shell leaks have been of the silver variety, but the very first leak back in January showed the part in the slate color used on the iPhone 5 and current iPad mini. It is certainly possible, however, that Apple altered its plans after that point and opted to shift all of its planned slate-colored products to the new space gray."

As Latinos Post previously reported, the iPad mini 2 is set to have Retina Display, the same 2,048x1,536 pixel resolution used on the current iPad 4. A Wall Street Journal report added that the next iPad mini will likely have Retina Display due to competition from smaller tablets with high-resolution screens, such as the Google Nexus 7, which sports 1,920x1,200 pixels.
In regards to a potential release date, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo projected the iPad mini 2 would get a March or April 2014 release date, while the 9.7-inch iPad 5 would be the only Apple tablet released during 2013.
