Apple's iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c smartphones are set to be available in more mobile carriers in the United States.
The additional mobile carriers are smaller, regional providers and will be available starting Oct. 1.

As MacRumors noted, Appalachian Wireless, Bluegrass Cellular, C Spire, Cellcom, GCI, MTA, Nex-Tech Wireless, Ntelos and Strata carriers will sell the latest Apple iPhones.
In regards to prices, which might not reflect all aforementioned mobile carriers, Appalachian Wireless stated the iPhone 5c's 16GB model will be priced at $49.99 and $149.99 for the 32GB model. The 16GB iPhone 5s will be priced at $149.99, $249.99 for the 32GB model and $349.99 for the 64GB model.
The iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s have been available since Sept. 20 across Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, United Kingdom and United States. As Latinos Post reported, Apple announced the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s sold 9 million units worldwide during their first weekend of release.
"This is our best iPhone launch yet-more than nine million new iPhones sold-a new record for first weekend sales," said Apple CEO Tim Cook, in a prepared statement. "The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we've sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly."
The features for the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s are, for the most part, the same specifications as the discontinued iPhone 5, such as the 4-inch Retina Display with 1,136x640 resolution, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1080p HD video recording camera, to name a few.
For the iPhone 5c, the most notable change is the color options. The new smartphone will be offered in blue, green, pink, white and yellow variants.
The iPhone 5s features a larger f/2.2 aperture for the rear-facing camera with the aim of improving low-light photography. The iPhone 5s utilizes the A7 processor chip with 64-bit architecture, which plays a critical role with the Touch ID. The iPhone 5s will be available in the traditional black and white models, but also a gold variant as well.
The two new Apple smartphones will come automatically installed with the new iOS 7 mobile operating system.
