iOS 7 owners beware as the latest Apple Inc. mobile operating system does not make your device waterproof.
Fake images have circulated resembling Apple's iOS 7 messages from its official website and falsely stating the new mobile operating system will make the iPhone waterproof.
Unfortunately, a few people believed it.
With the headline "Update to iOS 7 and become waterproof," the message read, ""In an emergency, a smart-switch will shut off the phone's power supply and corresponding components to prevent any damage to your iPhone's delicate circuitry."

According to The Telegraph, the prank might have been created at the 4Chan forums.
What is accurate is iOS 7 features improvements to the Control Center, Notification Center, AirDrop, Photos, Safari, Siri, and the introduction of iTunes Radio. iOS 7, as it has been featured in the beta versions, will come with a male voice for Siri.
As Latinos Post reported, iOS 7, which launched on Sept. 18, can be installed on iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, and the fifth-generation iPod touch.
According to Apple's Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federigh, "iOS 7 is completely redesigned with an entirely new user interface and over 200 new features, so it's like getting a brand new device, but one that will still be instantly familiar to our users."
