The 12-year-old child, Cameron Espinoza, died due to an allergic reaction to the ant bites he suffered during a football game in his school located in Corpus Christi.
According to information from news agency Associated Press, quoted by digital newspaper La Opinión, Cameron Espinoza, who was in the eighth grade, died days after he was bitten by ants during a warm up for a game.
Quoted by the media, the spokesman of the school district, Lorette Williams, pointed out that the incident took place last Wednesday. Ms. Williams detailed that the minor used a water bottle to get rid of the insects, moments before he lost consciousness.
