Verizon owners of the HTC Droid DNA will be pleased to hear that Big Red will be updating the handset with the latest version of HTC's Sense UI and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The update has not started rolling out yet. The only official piece of evidence is a Verizon support page discovered by the folks over at Droid-Life. The support page states: "Verizon Wireless is pleased to announce enhancements to HTC Sense 5 that will improve the performance of your DROID DNA smartphone." No official release date has been provided, although considering the fact that Verizon has made an official announcement, it shouldn't be too long.

Among the listed improvements is the popular BlinkFeed layout that allows users to customize their home screen with the content they wish to receive. Other new features include an easier-to-use contact list, an improved Calendar, a Gallery with more sharing functions, Quick Settings and a Smart Dialer.

Android 4.2 Jelly Bean isn't the latest version of Android but it will definitely come as a welcome bump for Droid DNA users. Android 4.2 improves system performance and adds more fluidity to the Android interface among a number of other upgrades that have made Jelly Bean Google's sleekest Android to date. The Mountain View giant has already released Android 4.3, and is rumored to finally launch Android 4.4 KitKat sometime in October.
