Ahead of a rumored Microsoft Surface event, the Surface with Windows RT tablet received a discount on eBay.com.
The 32GB Surface with Windows RT has seen its price on eBay reduced by 34 percent. The 32GB-tablet-only refurbished device is price at $229.99, which is a savings of $120 from the original list price of $349.99.

For potential buyers who want to buy the 32GB tablet with the Touch Cover, a Surface with Windows RT model with a Black Touch Cover is available, refurbished, for $249.99. The price of the Surface with Windows RT bundle is a savings of 58 percent, or $350, from the original list price $599.99.
The 64GB Surface with Windows RT tablet's price has been reduced by 44 percent, or $200. The new price for the 64GB refurbished tablet is $249.99, down from the original list price of $449.99.
Finally, a 64GB Surface with Windows RT bundle is available with a Black Touch Cover, but it is "almost gone," according to eBay. The 64GB bundle of the Surface with Windows RT is priced at $279.99, a savings of 59 percent, or $419.01.
At the Microsoft Store, the 32GB Surface with Windows RT is priced at $349, which is down from the original $449 price when it first launched, while the 64GB variant will cost the consumer $449, instead of $599.
As Latinos Post reported, an event has been speculated for Sept. 23, and it could be for the second-generation Surface tablets.
"Surface Pro 2 is expected to come with Windows 8.1 preinstalled," reported ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley. "Like the first-generation Surface, it will offer users the ability to run existing desktop apps, as well as new Metro-Style/Windows Store apps."
Microsoft first introduced the Surface with Windows RT tablet on June 18, 2012, with the device going on sale by October last year.
