September 10 marks the day that Apple holds a special event that reveal a new batch of products that will have both tech fans and the average consumer salivating over, but what exactly does Apple has up their sleeve will remain a mystery until the event kicks off?
Many are speculating that the company will announce a trio a new smartphones that are being added to the iPhone lineup: the iPhone 5S, 5C, and the iPhone 6. Other devices may be announced, but these three devices represent the future of the Apple brand and could be the next flagship smartphones on the market. But when, if these phones are indeed the newest Apple products to come out, can users expect to purchase them?
The original iPhone 5 was announced on September 12, 2012, with preorders for the smartphone rolling in by the millions. On September 21 of that year, the iPhone 5 launched in nine different countries, just eleven days after the smartphone was announced. The countries that received the phone were Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, United Kingdom, and the United States. However, even more countries received the phone on September 28. Twenty-two countries got the device on that date, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
But when can those interested in the new crop of Apple products (whatever device or devices Apple reveals to the public during their event) expect to be able to buy those new products?
If this pattern holds, then fans of the Apple monolith should expect the device sometime before the end of September. Specifically, users in major markets such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia should receive the future Apple products before other worldwide markets. Considering the quick turnaround from announcement to release for the iPhone 5, users should not expect too much of a delay until the smartphone is ready.
The European market is a bit trickier to predict, as some countries will get the future Apple products first, while some should probably expect a delay before they receive the products. While countries such as Germany and France can realistically expect to receive the 5S, 5C, or iPhone 6 at the same time as the big markets, other countries such as those found in Eastern Europe--which may not be a priority for Apple--may have to wait a week or more to get the new products.
In any case September 10 will be a big date for Apple fans, and could be one for the record books.
