Saints Row 4 News: DLC Costume Packs Released, Story Based DLC Release Date Coming Soon [Video]

Saints Row 4 has been a smash hit for developer Volition and new publisher Deep Silver, and fans have flocked to the open world game full of superpowers and wacky weaponry. Now, DLC has emerged for the game to add more chaos that will prepare gamers for the first story based DLC for Saints Row 4, which is coming soon.

The first two DLC packs for the game give players new skins and items. The two packs are called the Grass Roots Pack and the Presidential Pack. The Grass Roots Pack will give players the chance to dress up as hillbillies: The men will get overalls, and women will get short-shorts and flannel. Players will also get a rusty pickup truck to drive around in, which is also themed appropriately for the DLC. Finally, new weapons also come with the DLC, including a Plunger Gun.

The second DLC pack released by Volition and Deep Silver is the Presidential Pack, which will give players several costumes based on four different presidents: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, George W. Bush and President Barack Obama. As for female characters, they will be able to use colonial style dresses in the game, giving the game a goofy historical bent if players purchase the DLC pack. Both the Presidential DLC pack and the Grass Roots Pack are available for $2.99 each.

Of course, these DLC packs are mere teasers to the first story-based DLC pack for the game, entitled Enter the Dominatrix. This DLC will be covered by the game's season pass, unlike the two other DLC packs available now. According to iDigitialTimes, the season pass DLC will not become available until 45 days after the release date of the game, meaning that it will still be several weeks until Enter the Dominatrix is launched.

Saints Row 4 recently passed 1 million units sold, and the game has a variety of cheat codes, secrets, and easter eggs for gamers to check out.
