Only recently we started getting some specs and leaked renders of the possible HTC Zara, and already the mini version of the device, the HTC Zara mini, is leaking online as well.

It looks like HTC's "mini" manufacturing modus operandi - possibly the company's response to the manufacturing cost of the HTC One and its slower-than-expected sales - is not going away anytime soon. Already, the HTC Zara was expected to rank in the upper-mid range, as images of the upcoming device revealed it to be like a cross between the HTC One's front and the cheaper HTC Desire on the back. Specs for the device were not terrible, but certainly not in the realm of the HTC One.

But even an (admittedly nice looking) mid-range Zara apparently gets the honor of it's own "Mini-Me." The HTC Zara mini, another iteration of that initiative, leaked as codename "HTC 301e," according to PhoneArena.

The HTC Zara mini was first spotted at Tenaa, which is China's equivalent of the FCC, and images of the device also leaked on China's Weibo. The listing for the HTC Zara mini looks to be pretty comprehensive, because a lot of specs for the device are enumerated in this leak.

The HTC Zara mini will have a 4.3-inch 480 x 800 TFT touchscreen display. A 1GZ dual core system on a chip - rumored to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 - powers the device, along with 512MB of RAM. The Zara mini purportedly comes with 8GB of microSD-expandable storage and a 5-megapixel main camera with 720p video capabilities, along with a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. The leak even reportedly contains the color options and dimensions of the device. It will be 132 x 66 x 9.88mm, weighing in at 125 grams. It comes in black and white, with dual-SIM support for GSM and WCDMA networks, making it a pretty good bet that it's getting a release date in China, though when is unknown. The device will run Android 4.1.2. Rumors have it that the HTC Zara mini will come at a price around 1299 Yuan (or $212 U.S.).
