A large number of smartphones alleged to be the low-cost Apple device recently appeared online.

It is alleged that the smartphones are the low-cost Apple smartphone unofficially known as the iPhone 5C. Based on the pictures, it is difficult to see the recognizable Apple home button.
The rear shell of the iPhone 5C is also not visible, where the Apple logo and "iPhone" name is usually located.
According to Engadget, the smartphones were from Pegatron's Shanghai factory.
"More than 40 iPhone 5C handsets are pictured in the leaked picture, and the user who posted it is reportedly in the quality control department at Pegatron, one of Apple's key manufacturing partners," noted BGR.

As Latinos Post reported, a scratch test video has also surfaced alleging to be the low-cost iPhone. The pocket test, as posted on Apple Daily, apparently consisted of the iPhone 5C inside a Ziploc bag with coins, keys, paper clips, screws and a pocket flashlight.
The video comes as Latinos Post reported that KGI Securities analyst Mingchi Kuo stated the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S might end production this year with the introduction of the iPhone 5C.
"In other words, the 5C model will be positioned as mid-range. We forecast its retail price to be US$400-500," said Kuo. "We expect iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 will fall into the price ranges of US$600-700, US$400-500, US$300-400 and US$200-300, respectively, in the new product cycle. Since iPhone 4's specs may not be adequate to run on iOS 7, we think this line may be terminated."
According to Japan's Nikkei, the low-cost Apple smartphone could start its initial sales on Friday, Sept. 20 following its Sept. 10 special debut event.
