As Latinos Post reported, Apple is planning its golden iPhone for a rumored Sept. 10 special event.
According to AllThingsD, sources confirmed the gold-toned iPhone along with the traditional black and white offerings. A gold-colored device is apparently a "sought-after" color choice for buyers, particularly for China's high-end markets.
The next Apple smartphone, whether known as the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, is expected to make its debut on Sept. 10, and will reportedly go on sale Sept. 20.
