The i9505 Snapdragon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is about to get a lot cooler: Starting Thursday, those who backed the IndieGoGo crowd funding campaign to bring MoDaCo.SWITCH to the Samsung Galaxy S4 will get a chance to try out the tool, which allows you to boot up your Galaxy S4 in either stock Google Play Edition Android 4.3 or Samsung's TouchWiz Android Jelly Bean.

The announcement was made on Wednesday on @PaulOBrien's Twitter:

Right now, the MoDaCo.SWITCH boot software is in Beta testing, but once the kinks have been worked out, anyone with the International unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 will be able to get it as well, according to SamMobile.com. Using the "Switch" app, you can instantly reboot the Samsung Galaxy S4 from the TouchWiz UI version of Android into the Google Play Edition, while keeping all of your data and settings in place. The Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 is the factory unlocked, international version of Samsung's flagship smartphone. It comes with Samsung's TouchWiz UI and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, clocked at 1.9GHz, with an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM assisting. Like the other versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4, this one comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920p resolution. The Galaxy S4 has a 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB internal storage option, with a microSD card slot for up to 64GB more storage. The device comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facer, and is powered by a 2,600 mAh battery.
