We've been through a lot waiting for any official information about the possible follow-up to the Google Nexus 4, what's been called the Google Nexus 5. Now, with a possible leaked image of the device coming out of Europe, we may have more reason to believe that the Google Nexus 5 is on its way, and will be based off of the LG G2.

Rumors surrounding the Google Nexus 5 have seesawed back-and-forth this summer. First, Korean media said the next generation Google Nexus smartphone would be manufactured by LG Electronics. That was further bolstered by rumored specs for the Nexus 5 that seemingly matched a lot of features in what was rumored to be the LG G2, LG Electronics' new flagship smartphone.

But when the Moto X, and then the LG G2, were unveiled, a new tip was released from an industry expert, Taylor Wimberly, that the next Google Nexus 5 was going to be manufactured by Motorola - now a subsidiary of Google.

Most recently, the seesaw dipped back in LG's favor, when Tinht.vn - a Vietnamese website known for getting its hands on highly-anticipated devices early - reported that not only would the Google Nexus 5 be manufactured by LG Electronics, but that it would be loosely based on the LG G2 and would get a Q4 release date.

Now there's the image at the top: What looks very much like an LG G2, but is missing the signature "Rear Key" volume rocker on the back of the device. Instead, it has power and volume buttons on the side, as many expected a Google Nexus 5 based on the LG G2 to have.

This could be a ruse though, so take this image with a grain of salt. The image comes from a Dutch site called TechTastic, via PhoneArena, and purportedly came from an anonymous LG tester. Keep following Latinos Post Tech for more leaks and details, as we get closer to a possible release date for the new Google Nexus 5.
