The 41-megapixel Nokia Lumia 1020 and the 16-megapixel Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom smartphones were compared, but which device provides the best experience for the consumer?
Danny Winget provided a nearly 15-minute video detailing the camera phones.
In regards to the Samsung device, Winget noted how the Galaxy S4 Zoom looks like a traditional DSLR camera, notably because of its pop-out camera sensor.
The Lumia 1020 looks more like a smartphone. While the phone does feature a sensor, but it doesn't pop out.

The Lumia 1020's feel is considered as "soft touch" and "premium in the hand," according to Winget. The Galaxy S4 Zoom is more like a "point and shoot" camera. With the glossy black or white plastic on the Samsung device, the Galaxy S4 Zoom does not feel as "premium" as the Lumia 1020.
When it comes to the better screen, Winget chose the Lumia 1020 "hands down."
"The 1020 is much easier to carry around. It's just much thinner, and they both have different design philosophies and both of the sensors react in different ways," said Winget.
He also recommended the Nokia Camera Grip for Lumia 1020 owners. As Latinos Post reported, Nokia offers the camera grip for $59 with free shipping.
Winget's video presentation features several photo-by-photo comparisons taken by both devices. The Nokia and Samsung devices had their pros and cons in terms of contrast and saturation.
While Winget credited the Galaxy S4 Zoom's "high level of detail," he prefers the shots taken by the Lumia 1020 due it its cinematic performance.
As for low-light photography, the Lumia 1020 picked up the "vibrant colors" of the subjects.
When comparing the video capabilities, the Galaxy S4 Zoom had more impressive zooming than the Lumia device. And while shooting at 1080p is possible for both devices, but at different frame rates, the Lumia 1020 video is given a more favorable review. The Galaxy S4 Zoom, however, gained points for the 10x optical zoom.
Although the Lumia 1020 smartphone is given much credit, Winget prefers the Android mobile operating system on the Galaxy S4 Zoom.
Winget's video is a recommended watch, particularly for future photographers.
