The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is still around a month away from being unveiled, but that hasn't stopped eager tech heads from gathering up all there is to know about it. The latest? Some benchmarks that reveal some of the phablet's specs.
A recently spotted GFX benchmark for the device shows that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will feature a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 GPU, and a 1920X1080 (read: 1080p) display. The model in question is reported to be a Korean variant with LTE-A connectivity. When compared to other smartphones, the Galaxy Note 3 beat out every other device in the benchmark with the exception of the Samsung Galaxy S4 running on a Snapdragon 800 processor. However, this will probably change once Samsung finalizes the Galaxy Note 3 and optimizes it with Android 4.3 (the benchmarked Galaxy Note 3 was running Android 4.2.2).
Other rumored specs for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 include 3GB RAM, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2-megapixel front shooter. The phablet should also feature the latest version of Samsung's S Pen stylus. As far as the size of the display goes, however, it seems that Samsung hasn't quite made up its mind, although 5.7 inches seems to be where the big money is.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 should be revealed around the time the 2013 IFA electronics trade show kicks off in Berlin Sept. 6. The phablet should then release worldwide soon after, and hit the United States in time for the busy fall holiday shopping season.
