T-Mobile rolled out an update for its HTC One on Monday, July 22 that included improved LTE reception as well as some "processor enhancements." Unfortunately, the update seems to have removed the HDR camera option. Luckily, T-Mobile has a fix for that.

T-Mobile is currently pushing out a new update for HTC Ones on its network over the air (OTA). The update restores the HDR camera feature, and means that T-Mobile HTC One owners won't be left wondering why an upgrade made their phone less functional. Like all OTA firmwares, it won't land on everybody's smartphone at once, and will instead reach HTC Ones in batches. Eager beavers, however, can always go to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Check now and see if they can nab it that way.

The elephant in the room, however, is when will Android 4.2.2 hit carrier-tied HTC Ones in the United States. There's been no comment from any of the major carriers on when that might happen, and as usual, mum's the word from HTC. What we do have an inkling of, however, is that Verizon should be releasing its HTC One variant in early August, and that Android 4.2.2 might be pre-installed right out of the box. If this is the case, it would be a major blow to the other big three national carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint, and there's a good chance the networks will attempt to have Android 4.2.2 on their HTC Ones before, or at least around, the time the Verizon HTC One releases.

In other HTC One Android news, Google announced Android 4.3 Wednesday, and the new version is scheduled to land on the HTC One Google Play edition sometime "soon."
