AT&T has officially started to sell the Nokia Lumia 1020 Windows Phone 8 smartphone Friday, however, it is limited to sales on the Internet.
AT&T, the exclusive carrier of the Lumia 1020, has made it available on its official website for $299.99 when signing a two-year contract. A one-year contract will increase the price tag to $549.99. The month-to-month price will cost the consumer the regular price of $659.99.
AT&T, however, is offering a new plan known as "AT&T Next." The Lumia 1020's price with AT&T Next will be significantly lower at $33 for the next 20 months.
Potential Lumia 1020 buyers have to be cautious with the AT&T Next option as the consumer will have to pay the remaining balance of the device if they decide to cancel the service. The good news about AT&T Next is after the first 12 months, the Lumia 1020 owner can trade the device for a new model.
