Apple might provide a surprise to investors and spectators with the number of iPhone shipments made during the second quarter this year.
In a note to investors on Wednesday, Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty stated iPhone shipments might surpass initial expectations.

Apple is expected to provide their second-quarter results on July 23, of which the Cupertino-based organization might reveal the number of overall iPhones sold.
Analysts have apparently estimated the iPhone shipments figures to be 26.5 million units. According to Huberty, the iPhone shipments may in fact be 29 million units instead.
She also added that revenue for Apple is likely to be higher with approximately $36 billion in comparison to $35.1 billion as originally speculated by fellow analysts.
Apple's conference call, in regards to financial results of the second quarter of 2013 but counted as the third fiscal quarter, is set to start at 2 p.m. PST.
Apple will provide live audio of the conference call through its iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running on iOS 4.2 or later. Mac computers are also eligible to transmit the conference call as long as it runs on OS X 10.5 or above. Non-Apple computers will need QuickTime 7.
