T-Mobile announced Wednesday that it will be ramping up its Windows Phone 8 lineup with the popular Nokia Lumia 925.

The Nokia Lumia will go on sale starting July 17 for the price of $49.99 at the time of purchase, followed by $20 monthly payments for two years, bringing the final cost to $529.99. Interested buyers can go ahead and sign up for more details at the T-Mobile webpage for the phone.

The Nokia Lumia 925 features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 768X1280, translating to a density of 332 pixels per inch. Underneath the hood lies a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset, 1GB RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera that can record in 1080p, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera that can shoot video in 720p. The phone also supports 4G LTE connectivity on T-Mobile's growing LTE network.

All in all, the Lumia 925 is similar to the rest of the Lumia 920 series with one notable exception: it uses a sleeker body made mostly from aluminum instead of plastic, giving it a sturdier, classier feel. The Lumia 925 is an excellent smartphone for those already in love with Windows Phone 8 and even as a starter phone for curious parties and should prove to be a popular pick at T-Mobile retail stores nationwide.
