The console wars continue to rage as the two leading gaming machines battle it out for consumers' hard earned money.
While many talks and debates have surfaced over the past couple of months about the Microsoft Xbox One and the Sony PlayStation 4, it's still nearly impossible to call for a winner at this stage of the competition.
Sony has quickly gained a following after it announced that the PS4 will be $100 cheaper than Xbox One, aside from its more gamer-friendly options earlier on. Microsoft on the other hand, has been gaining momentum after it shutdown previously announced features that weren't received by the public very well.
However, for some gamers, the battle boils down to one simple factor: game titles. Carrying exclusive titles to the most popular games in the gaming world could spell victory or doom for any console. With this idea in mind, we list down the top Xbox One exclusive game titles that will make PS4 users jealous.
The list, compiled by Make Use Of, includes titles that will be released within the first year of the console's launch.
Halo
Not much has been said about this video game - no title, no storyline, no nothing. But one thing we are sure of, "Halo whateveryouwanttocallit" will be one of the biggest titles to be released in the coming year. The series has been a big hit among gamers since it first released in 2001, exclusively to the first Xbox, and it has evolved into a multimillion industry. Published by Microsoft Studios, Halo 4 posted a whopping $220 million on opening day.
Can Halo on Xbox One put up bigger numbers? We think yes.
D4
Described as "An Episodic Murder Mystery," D4 or Dark Dream Don't Die follows a private investigator in his aim to solve the mysterious murder of his wife.
"You cannot remember how or why, but the trauma you have suffered has left you able to travel through time. Because, well, why not?" wrote Make Use Of.
The distinct visuals of this Hidetaka Suehiro-produced game, gives the D4 a certain eerie yet prodding game experience. The video game also relies heavily on the Xbox Kinect for controls.
Forza Motorsport 5
The game will be an Xbox One launch game, and according to Make Use Of the title "could sell consoles on its own merit." The car racing game has been a strong title for Microsoft, battling Sony PlayStation's Gran Turismo.
For this title, gamers can expect more than a hundred model cars created in great detail to resemble that of the real-deal speedsters. The title features both single and multiplayer gaming set on different racetrack options.
