The Microsoft Surface with Windows RT tablet has received a limited time offer, which will end in late August.
The offer significantly reduces the price of the 32GB Surface with Windows RT, the tablet-only, with Touch Keyboard Cover, and Type Keyboard Cover variants.
According to a brochure, via ZDNet, the limited time offer is only valid for K12 and higher education institutions. In addition, it is only available for the following markets: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China (via Digital China), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States.

The Surface with Windows RT tablet-only is now priced at $199, down from the suggested retail price of $499. The 32GB Surface with Windows RT with Touch Keyboard Cover is $249, reduced from the $599 cost. Finally, the Surface with Windows RT with Type Keyboard Cover was reduced from $629 to $289.
"Our mission in education is to help schools and universities, students and educators realize their full potential," read a description of the brochure. "One way we do this is by offering software, hardware and services at affordable prices to education institutions. Surface RT is a terrific tool for teaching and learning and we want students and educators to have the best technology on the market today."
The offer started June 17 and will conclude on August 31.
