Samsung has not released any official details about its upcoming flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 3, but that hasn't stopped rumors and reports from hitting the technosphere. The latest shows off a picture reportedly taken by a Galaxy Note 3, indicating a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.
Based on the EXIF data visible above, the picture was taken by a Samsung device model SM-N900. The Galaxy Note 3 was said to be model SM-N9000, and newer reports have stated that it has been changed to SM-N900. If the reports are indeed true, then the picture could have been taken by the Galaxy Note 3.
The data also shows that the picture's resolution is 4128 x 2322 pixels, a 16:9 aspect ratio, that translates to a 13-megapixel shooter.
Remember, that EXIF data can be manipulated, so it shouldn't be taken as concrete fact, but EXIF pic leaks such as this are common before a handset hits the market. If this is indeed a picture taken by a Galaxy Note 3, then it only lines up with previous reports, which have all pointed to a 13-megapixel camera.
Samsung is widely expected to reveal the Galaxy Note 3 at IFA 2013 in Berlin around September, much like the Galaxy Note 2 was announced around IFA last year. Samsung should then begin shipping out the phablets for sales in time for the holiday season.
The Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to also be equipped with a 6-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor pushing past 2GHz, 3GB RAM, and sport a design similar to the Galaxy S4.
