Apple's Senior Vice President of Design Jony Ive has commented on the iOS 7's new flat interface, without directly addressing the "flat" reports.
As Latinos Post reported, Ive and the iOS development team have been working to deliver a "flat" surface for the next Apple mobile operating system.
The iOS 7 made its preview-debut at the 2013 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on Monday, and it appears the reports were true.

While Apple isn't directly stating the term "flat," which refers to keeping things simple, "simplicity" is apparently the promotional word for the iOS 7.
According to Ive, "There is a profound and enduring beauty in simplicity, in clarity, in efficiency. True simplicity is derived from so much more than just the absence of clutter and ornamentation-it's about bringing order to complexity."
The senior vice president of design for Apple continued that the iOS 7 is a "clear representation" of the before mentioned goals.
"It has a whole new structure that is coherent and applied across the entire system," Ive added.
The early changes with iOS 7 include typography, icons, and new colors. Apple stated the changes may not be apparent to users at first, but it all works together to create a "harmonious relationship" amongst the iOS elements.
The iOS 7 will be available in the fall season, however, developers can obtain a beta version right now. By visiting Apple's Developer page, people can toy with the upcoming mobile platform. To obtain the iOS 7 beta, people need an iOS developer account, which cost $99 per year through Apple. The iOS 7 beta is prone to potential bugs and crashes since it is still in its early stages, which is why Apple promotes the beta version, to avoid such occurrences ahead of its full launch.
