Grand Theft Auto 5 may not be making an appearance during this year's E3, but that has not stopped Rockstar from releasing some new information about the game. Specifically, they have released nine new screenshots of the game, showing off more vehicles that will be available in the game, as well as more stills of the full tilt action the game promises.
Several of the screenshots show various water activities the player can partake in. This ranges from going Scuba diving and piloting a jet ski to speeding around a harbor in a speedboat. Another airplane is also revealed. Players will be able to pilot a biplane that looks as though it was stolen off an antique aviation museums backlot. More chase scene snapshots are shown, as one of the protagonists in the game flees from the police. One shot displays one such showdown during the sunset, as sunlight pours into the windows of the car and police helicopters close in.
Each character also gets their very own action shot in these new screenshots. Michael is seen outside a very colorful building, gun in hand. Trevor is wielding an assault weapon as what looks like a upturned helicopter burns in the background. He looks very much like Jack Nicholson in The Shining in this photo, only replace an ax with an AK-47. Finally, Franklin is seen holding a gun to somebody offscreen, with an empty police cruiser in the background.
Rockstar has remained very quiet lately, though that is to be expected during this crunch time in Grand Theft Auto 5's development. The game will provide a massive open world adventure, and grants gamers getting the ability to switch between the three playable characters at will. Look out for Grand Theft Auto 5 on September 17 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
