"iTunes Radio is an incredible way to listen to personalized radio stations which have been created just for you," said Apple's Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue. "It's the music you love most and the music you're going to love, and you can easily buy it from the iTunes Store with just one click."
Apple also announced that users can obtain access to "first listen" exclusives from top-selling artists and have the ability to download music. Other exclusives, according to Apple, include special events, from live streams from the iTunes Festival in London, pre-release stream of an album, and more.
Users can also create and customize stations based on what they want to hear, from artists, genres, songs, and more, perhaps similar to Pandora and Spotify.
Siri can be instrumental with the radio service too. Users can ask, for example, "Who plays this song?" or "Play Rock Radio" to having music stopped, paused, or skipped.
Coming this fall, iTunes Radio will be ad-supported but in return is free for everyone. For anyone who wants an ad-free service, Apple also introduced the iTunes Match for $24.99 a year.
The iTunes Radio will be located from all of Apple's devices, from the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple TV, and even the PC.
