Microsoft has a lot of pressure on them to come through with an excellent press conference during the 2013 E3. The company faced severe criticism from critics and fans after their Xbox One reveal event on May 21. Many people thought the focus was on the Xbox One's ability to watch television and other such activities, rather than focus on games. So how well with Microsoft fare in their E3 conference?
Microsoft will most likely focus again on the Xbox One, and show off more of the gaming side of the console now that they have established the device's ability to stream live television and it's Kinect abilities. The price of the Xbox One is expected to be revealed, and figures to be less than the cost of the Xbox 360 when that console was launched. Microsoft also figures to reiterate their policies on privacy and DRM because of the surrounding controversies about the Xbox One monitoring it's users. After all, if the Xbox One can detect a person's heartbeat, restrictions should and will be put into place on that technology, and Microsoft figures to emphasize this point during E3. Microsoft may also reveal a launch date for the Xbox One, but it is unclear if they will or not.
Microsoft will be bring forward many games for the Xbox One as well. While some major Xbox One games will have their own presentations, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, other titles figure to also be part of the Microsoft Conference. A leak earlier could indicate what could be in store from Microsoft. Specifically, Halo 5 could be announced for the Xbox One, or a teaser trailer could be shown for the game. Fable 4 could also be shown, as well as a host of Kinect games for the Xbox One to show off the new technology. This Kinect segment is also the time I personally predict will have the most potential for embarrassing moments.
Microsoft will hold their conference on June 10, and we will bring you the up to date details from Microsoft and all other big companies at the event.
