Those looking to flash their shiny new Galaxy S4s with a dose of customization will be happy to know that CyanogenMod nightlies for Galaxy S4s on Verizon, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular will now begin rolling out. All major carrier variants of the Galaxy S4 in the United States can now snag CyanogenMod 10.1 (CM 10.1), which is based off Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

"Rounding out the S4 platform, nightlies for the Verizon, Sprint and U.S. Cellular variants of the device have just been green-lighted. Builds will release on the next nightly cycle," the CyanogenMod team wrote on their Google Plus page.

The Verizon, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular CM 10.1 nightlies began rolling out at the beginning of the month, and are now a few versions deep. AT&T and T-Mobile Galaxy S4 users got their nightlies starting at the end of May.

Bear in mind that nightlies are not stable ROMS. Instead, they are day-to-day updates designed to iron out the kinks in the ROM. Users of nightlies are not expected to simply flash and forget, but rather participate in the ROM building process by reporting bugs to the developers. The CyanogenMod team can then polish up a final build for a stable release. With that in mind, flashing ROMs can always end up destroying your handset, so be sure to have your phone's booatloader unlocked and know what you're doing.

Interested parties can head over to the CyanogenMod webpage to browse through the devices on the left and select the latest ROM version to download. The Samsung Galaxy S4 variants all begin with "jflte." A quick scroll-over with the mouse will reveal the device name and which carrier variant it is.

One of the key cornerstones of the Android experience is the ability to greater customize the experience through ROMs fostered by Android's open source nature. CyanogenMod is one of the most popular Android firmwares out there, as it not only seeks to offer users a different experience from Samsung's TouchWiz, it also comes with no spyware, bloatware, and actually improves system performance in many cases over official firmwares.

Let us know if you download a CM 10.1 nightly onto your Galaxy S4 and how the nightlies are shaping up.
