There have been rumors about a Verizon release of the HTC One coming this summer, and while the company is keeping things tantalizingly vague, Verizon did officially confirm that they will be releasing HTC's flagship Android smartphone later this summer.
According to Cnet, a tweet from Verizon Wireless's official Twitter account, @VZWnews, announced the phone's impending arrial. "It's coming - the HTC One will be available on the #Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network later this summer," wrote Verizon's official account.

While the approximate nature of Verizon's phrasing is bound to drive HTC One fans with Verizon service crazy, it's at least nice to get official confirmation that the highly anticipated handset will indeed be on Verizon's shelves sometime in the coming months. Last week, there were rumors that the HTC One was heading to a national release in T-Mobile's stores on June 5. Sprint and AT&T have already released the phone for their wireless plans.
The HTC One features a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, with 2GB RAM to assist. It has a 4.7 inch display that carries a 1920 x 1080 HD max resolution, which means a very high 468 pixels per inch. The HTC One has a 2,300 mAh Li-Po battery and a 4 megapixel main camera that features HTC's unique "Ultrapixel" technology, which the Taiwanese phone maker says rivals or surpasses other 13 megapixel cameras when it comes to low-light sensitivity and video. The HTC One also comes with an option for 32GB or 64GB storage, but does not have a microSD slot for expansion, due to its unibody aluminum frame. The handset runs Android 4.1.2.
