The Nokia Lumia 925 will be available for U.K. carrier O2 in June and with a limited time offer.

According to the carrier, consumers can pre-order the Windows Phone 8 smartphone before 4 p.m. on June 12. The smartphone will officially launch the following day.

The Lumia 925 is currently free when agreeing on a 24-month contract for £37 per month, which is approximately $56 under the U.S. dollar. The data plan O2 is offering, which ends June 26, includes unlimited minutes and texts and with 16GB of data.

The Lumia 925's price can, however, go up to £549.99, or $834.

For potential Lumia 925 buyers, the smartphone will not come with a charger via O2. The carrier stated its attempts on reducing waste as its reason.

"O2 is working to try and reduce waste. And as 70 [percent] of people already have a USB charger at home, we've decided to not include one with your phone," explained O2. "If you do need a charger, add one at a discounted price - you can do this after choosing your tariff. O2 does not make money from selling the charger separately."

The Lumia 925's availability under O2 comes as a special "Man of Steel" promotion launched ahead of the latest Superman film's release. The special Lumia 925 is reportedly set for the Chinese market and will have the Superman logo on the device's back cover.

The Lumia 925's features include a 4.5-inch display with 1,280x768 pixels and a 2,000mAh battery capacity for the 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. The maximum standby time is 440 hours and just over 12 hours of talk time under a 3G network. The Lumia 925's wireless connections include the latest Bluetooth and NFC.
