Nearly 10 days after Apple released a Mac OS X beta build, the Cupertino-based company has released the next build to developers.
Apple released OS X 10.8.4 with beta build 12E55 to developers for testing purposes last Friday.
With most beta releases, Apple asks developers to focus on a number of targets, namely Wi-Fi, Graphics Drivers, and Safari. While no specifics were provided in the new build, such as new features, developers are strongly recommended to work on the three before-mentioned targets.
The distribution of build 12E55 comes after Latinos Post reported on Apple releasing build 12E52 on May 18. Per usual, Apple asked developers to focus on Wi-Fi, Graphics Drivers, and Safari as well.
The beta is only for developers as part of Apple's Software Customer Seeding, a program which "customers are invited to test pre-release software products in order to provide Apple Software Engineering with real-world quality and usability feedback."
According to Apple, "We want to collect feedback from our customers to improve the overall quality of our products by testing it in many different environments. Your experience with our products impacts our future success and this program will help us facilitate that goal."
The latest beta comes approximately three weeks before Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference, where it is expected that Apple will make announcements on the next Mac OS X.
