Apple's iPhone 5-exclusive iOS update has led to problems even for fellow readers of Latinos Post.

The iOS 6.1.4 update was released earlier this month with the purpose to improve the audio profile for the speakerphone. However, the update sparked a chain of effects some iPhone 5 users.

iPhone 5 owners have taken to Apple's Support Communities to share their experiences, but now the stories have landed to Latinos Post.

"I have a this problem too after update to iOS 6.1.4 yesterday 10-5-2013. So sad," shared Danial. "It [has not] become better but I feel worse :( if I knew this will happen. I don't want to update. Better it's original iOS 6 from factory the first time I buy."

"iOS 6.1.4 Sound Problem. After installing this update, none of my sounds work on my iPhone 5 (Verizon). I have tried many troubleshooting options with negative results," wrote Brian. "Apple tells me that is most likely a software issue and they want $119.00 to fix it! What a coincidence, I installed the update (which has an updated sound profile) and my sound quit working. Even restoring the phone has not fixed the problem."

"Whenever I try to turn my screen off, the button just doesn't seem to respond," 337537 wrote. "I have to click it continuously until my screen goes off and sometimes it happens when I try to turn my screen on."

Megustakelly shared, "1) My iPhone 5 notes utility won't open. I have tried all troubleshooting to no avail. I am running iOS 6.1.4.
2) Briefly today, my screen would not stay open on a call if I wished to use speakerphone. That's new. New phone as of December... Bleh.
3) Battery life is disappointing at best. I upgraded [because] my previous phone held a charge for two hours max. Now, I carry a charger with me for this BRAND NEW PHONE. Double Bleh."

"Phone just locks up - or is it battery drain?" commented Rotgut.

Ak47 might have provided a solution, stating, "Go to settings and turn off calendar in every email account you have. Mine is back to normal now."
