World of Warcraft will be getting a new patch, version 5.3, that will add some brand new content to the long-running and beloved MMO. This new patch will add four new scenarios to the game, as well as heroic difficulty mode for those, along with the two other existing scenarios.

In addition to the scenarios, players will be able to take care of off-spec loot drops with a new loot specialization feature that will be added with the patch. Additionally, many minor bug fixes will be implemented, along with changes to class balancing, pet battles, and player vs. player changes as well.
There is certainly many different changes the come with this patch, so serious World of Warcraft players should read through and see how their characters, and the overall game, have been altered due to the introduction of this new patch.
World of Warcraft, while still being one of the most popular MMO games available, has lost some ground recently to the host of quality free-to-play and subscription MMO gamers that have come out recently.
In addition, hotly anticipated new MMO games such as The Elder Scrolls Online seek to take even more ground from the legendary game. But despite this, Blizzard plans to counteract the steady stream of users canceling their subscriptions to World of Warcraft by releasing more content, and doing so more frequently than in the past. And considering that reports reveal the game has lost over a million subscriptions since the end of last year, Blizzard has to do something to keep fans interested and entice them to pay a monthly fee to play the game.
