Call of Duty: Ghosts, the latest entry in the extremely popular franchise, has a new teaser video posted online today, showing off the game in a behind the scenes fashion. The video was posted on Vine and can be seen on the official Call of Duty Twitter account. The video also promotes the fact that the game will be seen live at the official Xbox reveal event tomorrow, indicating that the game will be on the next-gen Xbox.
The brief video shows the game in its early stages, as unfinished backgrounds and animations are shown being reviewed by Infinity Ward staff. This includes a model of a character's head, an animation of a soldier helping another up, and of the overall design of a sniper. While there may not be much finished content within the video, it does show an interesting look into what goes on behind the scenes of creating one of the most popular video game series of all time.
What this teaser also does is further hype up the big reveal of the next-gen Xbox, as it seems that we will be able to see a live demonstration of the game at the event. The video did not say that there would be an actual demonstration of the game at the event, or if there will merely be a trailer for the game shown. Microsoft and Call of Duty have had exclusivity deals in place for many years, resulting in the Xbox 360 version of their games getting DLC before all other platforms, so it makes sense that Microsoft would use the popularity of Call of Duty to further hype the event. The game will also be coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and 4, and PC.
Not much is known about Call of Duty: Ghosts, so hopefully we will get more details about the game tomorrow and at the E3 conference June 9-11.
